    I would go as far as saying this article is mandatory reading for those considering law school. I'm just not sure that a lot of students realize what they are getting into by entering law school. Especially those entering mid-tier or lower schools.

    There are a lot of layers and complexities within the American law school structure that a potential law student should think about when deciding what law school to attend or whether to attend law school at all.

    And one can rarely gain this type of perspective at open houses, on school tours, or from admissions counselors or representatives of a school who are basically trying to sell their school to you.

    This article can help sort things out and give an overview of the structure of American law schools.
